A new rumor has come to light regarding the fate of a cult classic Epcot attraction.
For much of the year, rumors have circulated that Maelstrom in Epcot's Norway Pavilion, along with presumably the whole pavilion, would close to make way for Arendale from Disney's smash hit film Frozen. It appears this may happen sooner than we thought.
On the My Disney Experience website you are unable to book Fastpasses for Maelstrom past September 28th. Could this be the closing date for the classic boat ride? Nothing is for sure until Disney says it is, but this seems possible considering Disney seems keen on jumping on the Frozen bandwagon while it's popular.
Frozen is currently the 5th highest grossing movie of all time, is coming to ABC's hit show Once Upon a Time this fall and is the focus of Frozen Summer Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration is currently the third most popular show on Disney property and is rumored to have it's run extended in addition to be possibly moved to the Superstar Television Theater in 2015 to replace the American Idol Experience.
The Park Hoppers will follow up on this rumor and other Frozen rumors as they come.
