Here we go with another Top 5, this time featuring the best attraction updates! Just like the last one, these attractions retained most of the original attraction but were updated and improved.
5. Haunted Mansion (MK, 2007)
The Haunted Mansion has received a number of upgrades over the years, but the massive 2007 refurb wins as the best. Included in this refurb was ghostly effects to the narration, new painting hallway scene, endless staircase scene and updated attic scene.
4. Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man HD (IoA, 2012)
Universal had something truly amazing with IOA's Spider-Man ride. In 2012, they made it even better with upgraded sound systems, brand new animation and a few surprises along the way.
3. Star Tours: The Adventures Continue (DHS, 2011)
I bet you are wondering how this ended up only at 3... Star Tours was a classic in the 80s, but with a new generation of Star Wars fan came a new desire for an updated and improved ride. Disney totally delivered.
2. Spaceship Earth (Epcot, 1994)
Epcot's icon has gone through several revisions since it's opening, but it's the 1994 version featuring Jeremy Irons' narration that is clearly the favorite. The end of the ride was completely redone to reflect how then sponsor AT&T thought the world would be connected in the future. A lot of it was true, but a bit different than predicted...
1. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet (Epcot, 2012)
Test Track was Epcot's first major thrill ride when it opened two years after it was suppose to in 1999. 13 years later GM decides to pour a bunch of money into the ride to bring back the focus of Future World. The result is an attraction that feels completely new despite having the same track layout and concept. From the Tron esthetic to the awesome design studio and interactive post show, Test Track aimed to please, and please it did!
