This past week, our partner YouTube Channel TheThrillSeekersShow hit 100 Subscribers! This is a big milestone, but did you know a bigger milestone is on the way next year? Believe it or not, The Thrill Seekers turns 10 next year.
In 2008, The Thrill Seekers: Theme Park Survival Guide began with a trip to Universal Orlando. Hosted by series creator Chris Coburn, the show featured each session’s cast goofing off at Theme Parks as well as useful tips and tricks for those not use to going to Theme Parks. Each episode also features on ride cams and show cams, split into segments due to the 10 minute limitations of YouTube at the time. They also covered major theme park events such as the grand openings of both sections of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal, New Fantasyland, Star Wars Weekends and the opening of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue in 2011. In 2012, The Thrill Seekers would move to HD for the first time, but kept the episode format until 2013, when major changes occured.
In 2013, both The Thrill Seekers & BigCTV, two web series from Coburn, split off from the primary Rooster’s Crow Productions Channel to form their own separate channels. BigCTV continued to flourish on it’s own, but TheThrillSeekersShow as it’s channel was known, started to slow down. In 2015, BigCTV changed it’s format to become shorter form segmented videos rather than longer episodes and The Thrill Seekers followed suit. The channel also ditched it’s Theme Park Survival Guide moniker and became a place for Theme Park fans to find tons of videos from their favorite Orlando area theme parks.
Just a month ago, The Thrill Seekers had their biggest change yet: leaving Orlando behind for videos of parks outside of Florida. Their California Dreamin’ event series also marked the first cross promoted event between BigCTV & The Thrill Seekers.
Two more event series collaborations have been announced this past week: California Spooktacular beginning October 20th, 2017 and California Dreamin’ II: The Sequel coming late January 2018.

So, after 10 years of videos filled with thrills, chills and sillyness, what’s next for The Thrill Seekers? Well, we have a lot more videos currently planned for 2017 and beyond. In addition to California Spooktacular & California Dreamin’ II, we have two more event series collaborations that will be revealed in 2018. We would like to announce The Thrill Seekers: A Retrospective. This video series will chronicle the 10 years of The Thrill Seekers and include footage, history and fun facts from all 10 years of the show. In addition, Theme Park Throwdown returns later this week with a battle from the depths of the ocean...
